A new eluting-precipitation process of converting the uranyl sulfate adsorbed on the resin SLD-225b into uranyl chloride with NH_4Cl solution eluting uranyl chloride with water and precipitating uranyl chloride with NH_4HCO_3 is studied .

Reported herein are eight solid complex compounds obtained by reactions of uranyl nitrate uranyl chloride and thorium nitrate with macro-cyclic polyethers dibenzo-18-crown-6 benzo-15-crown-5 and 18-crown-6 in polar solvents . The complex compounds have been characterized by elemental analysis melting points and infrared spectro-metric analysis .
